1,000 condos and apartments to go near Qwest Field

July 6th, 2006 · 1 Comment

Seattle Times, Nearly 1,000 condos, apartments planned for lot at Qwest Field:

Four acres of striped asphalt next to Qwest Field would be replaced by 956 condos and apartments, transforming Pioneer Square into a more residential neighborhood, under a tentative deal to be announced today.

I’ve always been intrigued about living down there or in SODO. However, it’s not ideal for commuting to the Eastside, which is what makes the Meritage so ideal; it’s only one block north of the second last 545 bus stop (the ‘Microsoft bus’) before it crosses the bridge.

hey, but it would be blocks from the I-90 on ramp by safeco field… i’ll be interested to hear more specifics! sounds like the parking situation and lawsuits will inevitably be a challenge :)
