South Lake Union Lottery Has Begun

September 20th, 2006 · Comments · By Matt

From an email from the SLU folks today:

Just thought I would let you know the lottery drawings for at least Enso and
Veer have begun. Day 1 of appointments for Enso is January 23rd. Day 1 of
appointments for Veer is December 4th.

I entered all three lotteries and haven’t received any calls yet. Also, those home appointment dates are way in the future. I really rushed to sell my home in Canada so I’d have some cash on hand for the 5% deposit and it looks like there really was no hurry. The good side of this is that by December we’ll have a better picture of the condo supply and demand picture.

Post your appointment dates as you get notified :).

Update: I got a call for Veer. My appointment is on December 8th at 9:45am. People are given 15 minutes to review the board (so presumably the next appointment after me is at 10am) and then they expect it will take an hour to an hour and a half to complete the paperwork. If they started Veer appointments on the 4th this puts me fairly down the list which sucks. The lady who called me did say that there have been a number of people who haven’t RSVP’d within the 8 hours, others have said no thanks, and others have purchased elsewhere. She also confirmed that the models will be unveiled early to mid October (but Vulcan is slipping on lots of dates so I don’t know how solid that is).

I'm not part of the Rollin Street lottery but am curious if anyone can tell me what the next phase of the process is yet for units in that complex. I've asked the JLScott folks and they are vague.
  • I was excited about this project six months ago when they threw that big bash down in SLU but now with each delay my interests wanes and I'm more excited about projects like the Trace Lofts.

My original Veer appointment time was Dec. 6th at 10:15am and is now rescheduled for Jan. 15 at 10:15am. Does anyone have any idea how the set back is affecting things?? Are people more or less interested now?
  • jo
of course all lotteries will be called...
  • Laurie
I was called on 9/21 and have an Enso appointment Jan 25. Has anyone received confirmation from the sales team that in fact all lottery entries were called? Or is that just speculation? Just curious, thanks.

Great web site. I just found about it.

We got our calls for both Enso and Rollin on 9/14 and 15. The Enso appt. is 1/25 and Rollin is 2/11. With all the talk about order I'm now concerned that we'll end up with undesirable units!

    Veer

Dec.10th @10am. I might have to do a POA, if I'm still crabbing in AK. Any thoughts on the "flexi's?"

I got my call last Friday morning, while I was on my way to Vancouver, Canada. Didn't get back until late sunday, so that's why I was a little behind in posting.

"If a spot opens up in front of you, it just stays open and no one moves up, we wont reschedule people.

    Renee"

That was what Renee at John L. Scott said when I asked her how they were handling cancellations of appointments that were all ready confirmed. Hope they stick to that comment and not just saying that to please people.

This question is for Tom, what day did you receive your call?
  • Tom
Got my call for Veer - December 7th at 6pm.
  • Dan
    To Ian:

The order matters - because even though you may eventually get called, you may be choosing between some undesirable units.
  • Ian
It seems like everybody got calls as long as he/her entered the lottery process. I question whether the lottery process means that much. It's just matter who are inline ahead or below.

Justin did real good, nice early appointments

Just got Rollin date, Feb 15 3:30p. Given dates are slipping and they originally said end of 2008, wouldn't surprise me to see these slide into early 2009.
  • My Rollin date is Feb 15th at 11:45.
  • Tyson
My Enso date is Jan 29, 3:15. Still waiting to hear on Rollins.
  • Alisa
I just received my call for the Veer lofts, my appointment is December 9th.
  • My Enso date is Jan 27, 11:30.
  • Justin
I've now recieved calls for all three, my dates/times are.
    Enso Jan 23rd ~2pm
    Veer Dec 4th ~1pm
    Rollins Feb 12th ~12pm

I just got my call, my appointment is Dec. 6th. Yeah I really hope they aren't giving people slots ahead of the ones that already called and confirmed.
  • If anyone else has questions please post them and I can talk to the folks over there to get some answers. (Of course my first question will be, why haven't I gotten a call yet!?)
  • Rachel
Does anyone know how the appointment scheduling really works? If someone with an appointment before you fails to confirm, do you move up or does that appointment just stay empty? I assume/hope they aren't putting people whose cards were drawn later in the earlier unconfirmed slots...
  • Dan
Got my Veer date for 12/4. I'm a 2200 owner - wonder if I was picked from that box, or from the general box.
  • Huy
Still no word on the Veer for me, hope I hear from them soon. I'm also glad that the appointments aren't right away, gives me time to look at some other projects coming up.
  • Jac
I got a call today for My reservation in Rollins Street. Feb 7th.
  • thalia
I have my own agent, not John L. Scott.
  • No call for me yet.. I created my own 'maybe' checkbox instead of checking agent/no-agent.
  • Tom
    Thalia -
If you don't mind me asking, do you have your own Real Estate agent or did you go with one of the John L Scott reps?
  • thalia
I just got my call from John L. Scott for Veer! Also December 4.
  • And I hear that they will have the flexi-model ready for touring around mid-October.

(And I thought the software industry was bad on slipping dates!)
  • thalia
And if anyone gets wind of their target completion date, please dish that info, too! I hope they aren't still saying Fall 2007 with a straight face.
