Hey I just saw on another blog that Expo 62 was just cancelled converted to apartments. The developer has sold to an out of state investor who will release the building as an apartment complex. Is this true?

Has anyone been to their sales center? I don't know who is responsible for this mess but it needs to be stopped. It's laughable. Have you seen the outside? It's got all these strange 50's swinger quotes (uh, Expo 62 means 1962, not the fifties) in conversation bubbles painted on the side and it looks like a McDonalds. I'd be embarrassed to live there. After The Parc sales center, which was so nice, why did they take such a nose dive? Doesn't bode well for Intracorp. I took a bunch of pictures if anyone wants to see how tragic it is. It'll take more than 'Vancouver modern' to save this one.

I heard that rising design star Robin Chell is doing the interiors. She's got a design aesthetic that is more "Vancouver" -modern, slick, colorful... I can't wait to check it out.

Expo will have about 114 units and is going to reach the maximun 6 story height allowed for lower queen anne. If you haven't called the sales office and listened to the anwering machine message, you're missing out on some comedy.

I'd be interested to know the expected occupancy if anyone has info ( I read late '07 on another board but that's hard to believe looking at the construction site)
