So you’re not into new construction

If you’re not into new construction but love reading blogs about real estate (instead of blogs about the real estate business which I must admit I absolutely hate reading but do anyway because it’s a bit like checking out a car crash) you should check out the Redfin Seattle Blog because we have just assembled a killer team of Mavens to go out and visit listings and write the truth:

Sweet Dig bloggers visit homes in their area and get the straight story behind listing remarks espousing “a charming kitchen” or “great potential” and let’s not forget that classic “lovingly maintained” house that hasn’t been updated since 1967. As a neighborhood residents who know the area well, they’ve got the inside scoop on the best schools and how bad the morning traffic is. They know what to look for and what is easily overlooked.

The group is headed by Marie a true real estate enthusiast (see my post here). Hopefully she doesn’t set her sights on new construction or else urbnlivn will be doomed :).

About Matt

Matt , Urbnlivn's publisher, has a love for lofts with industrial features and new construction condos that is only eclipsed by his passion for outdoor sports and urban living. Phrases such as “polished concrete” and “exposed brick” are music to his ears. You can also find Matt on Twitter or skiing.

Hey Matt, do you know if I can use Redfin to create a presale purchase – say at the Veer lofts?

I know I could’ve just asked the nice people at Redfin… but I figure other urbnlivn readers would be interested in the answer as well? (Maybe I’m just lazy?)

Hi, yes you can definitely use Redfin for a presale purchase. For instance here’s a Redfin blog post about new construction and incentives: http://blog.redfin.com/blog/redfin/2006/11/show_me_the_money.html

Since Veer Lofts aren’t in the MLS it would be best for you to call (877-973-3346) or e-mail us (support@redfin.com).
