Veer selection dates delayed again

January 10th, 2007 · 4 Comments

Daniel just e-mailed in this tip (thanks!):

Just wanted to let you know (if they haven’t called you already) that the Veer selection dates have been moved out about a month. My original date of 12/4 was delayed to January 13, and is now February 17.

Oh well, at least this gives me (and other “condosseurs”) time to check out projects like Equinox & Trace Lofts.

I haven’t received a call yet but needless to say I’m not surprised.

How in the world do you miss a date by THAT MUCH?

It’s like they’re on Microsoft time.

As a Seattle native, living in San Francisco, but getting ready to move back. Dates get pushed back, in part, when developers think they might be able to get more $$$ for the units. Its a balancing act. Push back to far and as the post stated potential buyers look at other projects. But if the developer is confident of their product…

Next big thing on its way to the NW that is already popular, with developers in San Francisco anyway, non-refundable deposits on specific units. There are buyers here that literally, at this time, own the right to purchase a specific piece of sky. (Developments must of course be built for the deposit to be non-refundable)

I don’t think the developers are trying to get more money. I was given a price range of my particular home that I was interested in when they called to reschedule my appointment. This tells me they are actually telling the truth. I feel bad for the sales team, as I would assume they don’t want to make that call. I am ok with the overall pushback. It allows me to save up a bit more money and really narrow down my search. I kinda hope people walk away! It can only improve my unit availability for selection.

    Oh well,

Word on the street is they will be offering free upgrades for the delayed process…

j/k that would be nice though. Is that too much to ask for?
