Seattle Times, Condo phase causes a split:
The developer of Seattle’s tallest residential tower and its general contractor are parting ways.
Developer R.C. Hedreen Co. and Skanska USA Building said Friday they were unable to come to terms on a “proposed contract revision” for the second phase of construction at Olive 8, a 39-story hotel and condominium project set to rise downtown.
Strange.

this “parting of ways” had been in the planning for months i hear. it’s only a marketing ploy that it made the business news :)

Well if its a marketing ploy, then who is taking over to finish construction? And if this is a marketing ploy it seems to be a particularly bad one - if I had reserved a condo at the Olive 8 and heard that the contractor would not be completing the building, then I would be worried whether construction will be completed or whether there will be a large hole in the ground for several years.
