Seattle Loft Report

January 31st, 2007 · 2 Comments

If you are into lofts, Urban Living Seattle, a realtor run site, has a 2006 Loft Report. Unfortunately you have to e-mail them to get it (presumably so they can add you to their e-mail lists.)

This site isn’t specific to lofts, but provides an overview of new condos and conversions. I think it’s an interesting read even for those who aren’t in the markets. It offers a glimpse into recent developments.

Thanks for the mention of our Annual Loft Report. I appreciate the mention however I just want to clarify that the reason I ask for an email address is not to add you to our e-mail to our lists to use in the future. We have NO capture techniques on our website to add users to get unsolicited emails. I hate spam and I hate having to weed through everything I get just to find the legitimate emails so I would not do that to someone else, even though almost every real estate related website out there is fashioned on “capturing leads”, that is the opposite of our business model. The reason for the email address is that I’m trying to keep track of #1. how many reports are downloaded and the overall interest in the reports (for future reports) and #2. I’m trying to at least prevent linking directly to it so I have some sort of idea of where it’s going. Since I put many many hours into the research, the design and information presented each year I want to know that it’s going to legitimate requests. When you fill out the request you have the option to be added to the newsletter to find out about subsequent reports and it’s not checked by default. You will not be added automatically to anything other then my logs of who downloads the reports. Since I administer and maintain the entire site the information isn’t going anywhere else, just thought you might want to know.
