Parking isn't much of a problem this early in the game but I feel Bellevue is considering all the possibilities of growth. A very good example of this is The Performing Arts Center Eastside scheduled to open in 2010. Unlike trying to park in multiple garages for a show in downtown Seattle, PACE is planning access to 10,000 underground parking spaces per their website (probably shared w/ Bellevue Place and the Hyatt). Washington Square has done a pretty good job offering amble parking to its residents at a price. Bellevue Towers had less favorable offerings to its future residents. Parking is the main reasons we chose to live in Washington Square verses Bellevue Towers. We were able to acquire 2 residential spots. Neither Washington Square nor Bellevue Towers will offer the best scenario for visitors parking, but I feel it may be more than what is offered in downtown Seattle. That area is not as congested as the center of downtown but it's still an easy 5-10 minute stroll to the mall from there. NE 10th street, which Washington Square will be facing, is going to be the densest residential area of downtown Bellevue in a few years. Right now, there's already 4 residential towers under construction on this stretch and a few more in the pipeline. Washington Square's first tower is scheduled to open this fall, it's about 90% sold out so there's not much selection left. The second tower which will open sometime next summer is currently nearly 60% sold out so there's still plenty of great units left. A hotel is planned for the next phase of this project, once that opens all residents will have access to its amenities.
