Do you need it for your meritage? FYI, I live right near the Meritage, and walk by it every day for work. That BS that they’re feeding you about the “elevator needing inspection” is exactly that. It is fairly obvious that they have so much more work to do, and that’s just on the exterior, I can’t imagine inside. What’s troubling, is that in an effort to catch-up, they have been working far later than the posted “6pm” time. They usually don’t have any light showing, but they’re still trying to work on the exterior. I’d do an extremely thorough inspection of your new place to find any “quick construction” goofs. Good luck

I’m sure the elevator has a large part in it, however there is absolutely no way the original date would have been hit had the elevator been in working shape. I also went up in my unit yesterday and painting still needed to happen and other things…not just clean up. Plus being that Leslie Williams (of Williams Marketing) is married to the developer of Mertiage all we’re going to hear is crap out of Williams on the reason delays are happening anyway.
And as far as damages, they paid the elevator company 10k to get it expedited. Clearly that didn’t happen. How about splitting up the 10k to those of us who got affected. One can only dream…
I also want to hire someone external to do an inspection. Not someone recommended by the bank or my agent. Just at first sight there are a few things I don’t like. Anyone have good recommendations?
