Brix presentation center 2.0: Sales really slow?

April 4th, 2007 · 6 Comments

I see over on Ben’s blog that Brix has re-designed their sales center.

Brix: April 13th, 6-8 PM

Brix is unveiling their redesigned presentation center at 700 Broadway Ave E. Buyers can now view a full-scale model home and chat with the developer & architect. Refreshments including locally-brewed Elysian Beer will be served.

Very interesting. Does anyone have insight into how many units they’ve sold? The last data I have is from December when they were at ~30% (44 of 141). Sales must be slow if they went to the expense of re-designing their presentation center and building out a full unit.

Slow sales on the north end of Broadway don’t bode well for sales at Trace North, a very similar project, on effectively the south end of Broadway. Though I see more promise in the 12th and Madison area then I do were Brix is.

Hi Matt, Thanks for the Brix post!

We have been selling well- about 3 or 4 a week for the last several months. We are just about 50% sold- and we have some excellent homes available.

We are having an event to celebrate the new model April 13th, hope you can make it. I was going to send a special invitation for you :)

Javila, I’m moving back to Seattle this summer. What is estimated completion on Brix and is concrete and steel or stick construction? I used to live on Capital Hill but if I moved back I’d want to be in new construction. Thanks.

    Hi Cameron,

Brix has two sides- the Broadway side (all flats) is steel frame, and the 10th Ave Side (primarily lofts and townhomes) is heavy timber. It will be done mid 2008. We have a really wide selection of homes- check out the website for floorplans.

    Hey Matt-

Why do you have issues with the North end of Broadway?

There is life outside the Pine Pike corridor!

Joe, I’m looking for nightlife and I just feel like there isn’t much up there. What attracts you to the north end?
