DO NOT BUY FROM THE WYSONG GROUP, www.wysonggroup.com. Owner, Jeff Wysong and his investment partner Granit Peak Partners LLC, www.granitepeakpartners.com, have a particular scheme and it's called buy failing apartments, "convert" them as cheaply as possible, promise in writing and verbally to finish major components of the building to buyers, sell the units, never finish the work, dissolve the LLC the condo was built under and run, leaving many first time home buyers with a hard legal battle. They often won't even take our insurance on their projects literally leaving buyers with no one to go after. Obviouse fraud, but still a hard legal battle. A game they have learned to play well.

Jeff Wysong's latest statement is that because the market has turned so sour, he is millions of dollars in the hole and therefore can't afford to put money towards fixing major compoents of multiple buildings he's left in disrepair.

Worse even, after home buyers come forward to him and are willing to negotiate, he leads you on with seemingly kind and understanding statement that he didn't realize the buildings were as bad as they were and if he had the money he would help. THIS IS A LIE. Even after such statements he has continued to buy multi-million dollar buildings for his own financial gain while leaving his other projects sorely unfinished.

It is amazing that in today's day such loopholes exist that horrible devlopers like Jeff Wysong at the Wysong Group can get away with preying on first time home buyers who trust the product he's selling.

His current projects include: Tenzen, Tobira, Press and Mira.

Be sure to get clarification on the rooftop deck from the sales staff before you purchase, and get the clarification in writing. Several promised amenities including a rooftop deck and a rooftop garden on top of the garage have not been started. Several executives from the developer came out to a meeting of homeowners, and gave use a story of financial woes. Supposedly, some employees who were fired made promises such as the rooftop garden and they shouldn’t have been made. The fired employees worked for the developer and the owners expect these promises to be fulfilled. It is also obvious that the planning for the renovation didn’t take these amenities into account, as we were told that it is hard to add them on now. I really like the unit I purchased, but I’d like it a lot better if the developer was making a better attempt to finish off what we were promised.

Chris...

sounds like things are progressing nicely.

I do want to say that I like the look of the building and what you have done with the interiors. The city views look spectacular also.

I can answer EconE's question. My name is Chris Brooks and I am Wysong's project manager for the Decatur conversion. (I love this project and am also buying here. I will use it as my primary residence.)
The boiler was de-commissioned back in 1989. I believe you are asking about the hot water tanks. We are installing 2 new common hot water tanks and a new circulation pump. We have ordered the tanks and anticipate their installation will be mid June.
Hope that helps,

I'm pleased with my purchase and felt the previous review wasn't accurate let alone fair.

I'm an actual resident of the Decatur, and I can say that whoever wrote the review above is right on the money. My girlfriend and I couldn't be happier with our unit, the progress the developers are making, and the value. Considering all factors (cost, location, amenities) I feel as though the Decatur is one of the better options currently on the market. I'm glad I purchased my unit.

True, you can't fault a person for loving where they live.
I am just a little suspicious of what I read, after Vulcan and Feary did the shadow postings on the 2200 Blog. That is some weird marketing...

Dan, it is gushy, but I do sort of know the person and have a high degree of confidence that it is really a resident.
