As you may recall I bought a unit at Trace Lofts. It should be done sometime in August or September; they’re cagey whenever I ask for more details. Since I can’t afford two condos I need to sell my first, #504 at the Taj.
Now, Foster calls me every two weeks and berates me for not listing my place yet, almost a month ago I read this post from a fellow Trace owner about selling their place, and Kelly our Redfin listing agent extradionnaire has given up asking me when I’m going to list with her.
So needless to say I’m probably way behind schedule on selling my place. This weekend I took the first step to selling and spent about half a day de-cluttering my place with the help of a friend more objective than I. The result was a car and a half of stuff got moved over to a friend’s empty basement and my place is filling sparse.
Of course part of me wonders if this whole charade is really necessary.
Next step: Staging.

I’d say that it’s necessary. Ain’t you pretty much fucked if your unit doesn’t sell? You don’t want to scare potential buyers off with your clutter and garbage.

I think what the de-cluttering exercise really pointed out is that I need a storage unit.
I’m also kicking myself for not taking before and after pictures…

Or you could just own fewer objects. =)

Is four bikes too many bikes? :)
At least I’m down to one set of skis. Though I do have five hockey sticks..

it’s only too many if you don’t ride all of them :)
