Trace delayed

August 15th, 2007 · Comments · By Matt

There were a lot of rumors yesterday about delays at Trace (with additional speculation between buyers in email.)

Some people at Trace were saying off the record there would be delays, others were saying on the record that there were no delays. We the customers had no clue who to believe since Trace was not communicating with us directly.

I have received ‘official word from Trisha at Trace’ via one of our Redfin transaction coordinators that:

Closing shall be sept 10 with move in dates scheduled in the late part of September into early October.

For all the Trace customers that don’t read this blog, I hope you hear from Trace soon!

Why would you close Sept 10 and then not be allowed to move in late Sept or October?

The day I close is the day I'd want to move in. Why close before?

    Matt,

When you close on your home at trace, the state requires you be able to move in within two days of your actual closing. Don't let those people at Trace tell you that you have to close on 9/10 and not be able to move in for an additional 20 days.

What's up with the closing but not being able to move in?
