I was getting my hair cut on Capitol Hill this afternoon when I noticed this anti-condo vandalism:

    We'll see how tolerant you are when your favorite businesses close because the landlords raise the rent, drove out the tenants so they could sell to a developer to build a condo there.

    We'll see how tolerant you are when the same thing happens to the apartment complex where YOU live. Of course probably you're well off enough that you'll probably never experience such a thing.

    Some people seriously need to get a life. I have seen this in quite a few places around Seattle. Ballard, downtown - you name it. I thought Seattle was supposed to be liberal and tolerant...

    Are you really all that surprised?

    I'm not.

    However...I must say that the artist doesn't quite succeed at delivering the message. Maybe something along the lines of "Fu#k You Greedy Developers" was what they were really trying to say.

    At least they did a nice job of color matching to the brick.

    Let's hope our condos don't end up looking like this guys "crib"...

    This crap is everywhere. It's all over the concrete wall surrounding the development at Thomas and Belmont. They also did it to a retaining wall at Thomas Street Park: "Go away condos Fuck you yuppys". I'm sure there's more.

    I've been trying to get them to actually clean the elevator for the last month. :(

    Maybe CWD will someday live up to their promise of quickly removing graffiti. It was reported on Sunday and it's still there.
