Shame on $1 price reductions

November 16th, 2007 · 8 Comments

1700 Bellevue Ave #302 was price reduced one dollar to $349,949 today.

Shame on you George F. Lamson the IIIrd from John L Scott and shame on me for giving your listing more attention then it deserves. Personally I’d add more photos to the listing before doing trivial price reductions but what do I know.

I notice open houses at that building every weekend. I think it’s a good looking unit, but way way overpriced.

I used to live in that building (prior to conversion)and I’d be hard pressed to buy there. It’s a nice place and a convenient walk to downtown or Broadway, but it’s not the most noise insulated building.

LOL…but why shame the RE agent…doesn’t the owner have any control over it?

The MLS will fine him for that sort of manipulation, and he best have all of the docmentation for that $1 increase signed by the seller or he will have bigger problems.

“The MLS will fine him for that sort of manipulation…”

Do agents get fined for misusing the MLS? I have a neighbor who has been trying to sell his place for over six months, but the listing always says it’s been on the market for less than two weeks (currently the listing says 9 days).

Looks like a nice building but good to know about the noise issue- doesn’t the Seattle area MLS track how long a property is on the market automatically?

Does anyone know of any condo conversions that have done something about sound abatement?

My apologies for the post on the new price. That was not a good thing to do and will have it corrected with a more appropriate reduction in the future. Thanks for keeping in check!

Real Estate agents are like lawyers without the education. They are more like car salesmen.
And shame on you for a $1.oo reduction, sneaky trick but not unexpected.
