Seattle PI, Yale Campus will be one of biggest South Lake Union developments:
A Seattle property developer will remake two blocks in the South Lake Union neighborhood into an office, biotech and retail campus with four new office buildings and thousands of square feet of retail space.
At a total of 776,000 square feet and a cost of roughly $240 million, the project, named the Yale Campus, will be one of the largest developments in the already booming neighborhood.
Someone asked about residential units in South Lake Union. This is what Vulcan is building:
2200: 261 units
Enso: 135 units
Rollin Street: 208 units
Veer Lofts: 99 units
Popularity: 3% [?]

I am curious to what will be next for South Lake Union. It has become extremely attractive for companies, residents and retail. It would be nice to see what the plans look like for the Yale Campus.

Well, I hope it doesn’t end up like Belltown with its rowdy bars and blasts of gunfire.
Last week the Spitfire Grill got riddled with bullets about 1:30 AM after an Escalade did a little drive-by action on the front window.
The Spitfire aught to stick to being a sports bar instead of that DJ thang they do. But hey, if that’s what the Belltown Urbnlivn ghetto dwellers want, that’s cool.

I live in Belltown, and let me tell you the neighborhood has gotten MUCH MUCH worse over the last year.

I live in Belltown as well and can honestly say I have not had the same experience.

“I live in Belltown as well and can honestly say I have not had the same experience.”
You may not have experienced it, but it is happening. The AK-47 incident, the fights and shootings, and now the drive by shooting of a crowded bar at 4th and Blanchard on Saturday.

What is missing in SLU is a horse stable. Since horses are now allowed to be kept in condominiums, it would be useful to have horse grooming, stable and veterinarian services in the neighborhood.

what on earth are you talking about? Horses?

“what on earth are you talking about? Horses?”
Horses are recognized as therapy animals. Miniature
horses have the right to act as mobility aids, pulling wheelchairs and steadying those who could not walk without external support.
Recent court rulings have extended the rights of the disabled to employ emotional support animals (ESA) in condominiums. Miniature horses have gained ESA status, which means that condo rules that restrict horses cannot be enforced if they are ESA animals. IOW, miniature horses may end up being your neighbor.
