What? 8 figures and no pool? Wouldn't you think that the foreign tycoon is that buys that place will probably want a pool that isn't shared with all of the "common folk" on the lower floors who paid a paltry $2-3MM for their place...and especially not with the "city suite" caste.

Wait...does that building even have a pool?

Regardless...it's a pimpalicious pad!

The one is DC is well underway? According to the link they plan to break ground mid-2008...which is pretty much what they are saying about the one in Seattle.

Wow, looks like it even has it's own copper brewing vessel in it (1st pic)! I could take my homebrewing to another level.

MD is right. This building ROCKS balls to the walls. Nothing going in Seattle, current or planned in the next four years, is as tasteful or well-thought as this building. The architects did a tremendous job combining the new with the old and making the place scalable to the neighborhood (don't get me started on the interiors - the best in Seattle). Its both warm and modern, which is very hard to achieve. It isn't boring like all the other glass-curtain wall buildings going up (yawn) or big, square aluminum boxes being built. There is nothing like it going up anywhere on the West coast to my knowledge. So, I guess I'm saying this place is pretty unique and special.

Anyway, anyone know when this place will get started? And, once it does, how long it will take to finish? Anyone know where prices are in this place right now?

I agree with the MD that the place looks pretty cool. They seem to be taking their environmental theme seriously. The renderings look like there will more natural light and other elements than anything yet to be seen (in Seattle). I'm sure that will boost it's novelty when they finally start building. i dig it.

not to be a killjoy but it looks like a gated suburban community crammed into an area that would better served by housing for "normal" people.

Jo, I also wanted to know how much this thing is going for. Per MLS #2202 is going for $11,739,150 at 6865 interior square feet. So, that breaks down to $1,710/square foot for #2202, AND ITS ONLY A SHELL!!!

So, I did a little research today, and #2204 is no longer at 10,350 square feet. In fact, the largest penthouse suite is indeed #2202 I mentioned above at 6,865 sq.feet. There are seven penthouses in 1, and all are shells. So, this is somewhat a bit misleading and old information.

At one time, this #2204 was perhaps a possibility, but these penthouse plans and square footages have changed several times over the course of the past two years. The #2204 we are talking about here would NOW more closely resemble the possible space being offered in #2206. This slide show we have seen will never come to fruition as the space and exact footprint we see simply does not exist in 1. Also, any of the penthouse spaces can and will be finished as their owners see fit as they are sold as shells - meaning, these were only renderings of what some architect in Seattle would offer as his/her own vision. It doesn't meat, in any way, this will be what the owner would choose to do.

Dan C., not the listing agent, nor am I involved in the business of real estate in any capacity. I just enjoy being a real estate observer as a hobby, and I think this project is top-notch.

Funny. "Purely amazing".

That place looks awesome. I can't even guess the price tag. Or even what the HOD's would be every month. 7k?
