Chris sent me more about the home:

The 2,470 s.f. home includes four bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a large open living floor. On the top level, 12’ tall ceilings and walls of glass allow large amounts of natural light to create one grand space for kitchen, dining, and living.

Additionally, the home includes a separate, one bedroom apartment unit (635 s.f.) on the lower level, complete with a wrap-around patio.

And here are more photos courtesy of Pb.

Wow, how much uglier could they make it? It looks like it fell out of a 1960′s Popular Science article on the “future” of housing.

Ugly, really? I quite like it. But I’m a big fan of Pb Elemental’s work. (Or for that matter, most things boxy).

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…… I think this is an awesome building. But then again if everyone loved the same thing everything would be the same.

I honestly like the way these townhomes look, a much better look than those other fugly ones popping up around the neighborhoods developed by local wanna be builders with no imagination. Hey Nickles, wanna put down the BigMac and fund some more of these cooler townhomes? hahahaha…..

Now for the negatives on this builder…what the hell are they thinking that they can charge a crap load of money for these because they’re ‘Green’? Seriously, it’s like buying a hybrid car that cost 25% or more! I mean, is the payoff in investment of more cost vs. savings of gas going to equal out? Maybe…probably not. Oh wait, it’s good for the environment…blah. I’m all for the saving the environment, but come on Toyota and others…we can’t go broke trying to save the earth! Same theory applies to these builders…nice design, good idea to go ‘Green’, but if you want to make an impact to help the earth and locals, make it affordable. How about mass producing these “Green” homes more affordable? Okay, I’m done with my bitching today…happy Thursday everyone!

Oh yea, the home that you see listed here….you can be good to the earth at a cost of $1.149 million and a fully loaded Prius at $29,860 ….. and don’t forget about the 9.1% tax!

I (generally) like Pb’s work, and think the interior of this building is gorgeous. But I am getting a freaky Star Wars sandcrawler vibe from the exterior. . .
