Does Dexter Need Modular Apartments?

Seattle Times, Prefab apartment complex clears review hurdle:

Seattle’s first prefabricated, modular apartment complex won an important approval this week, and the project’s backers say its first tenants could start moving in as soon as next May.

With the failure of Domaine does Dexter need more inventory?

I don’t understand the question. Its about competition and whether Unico thinks its product can compete with existing product. If Unico can come in with lower price points, better location and somewhat comparable product, it could perform much better than Domaine. If I were top choose to invest or lend to one, no question where I’d put my money.

Um… isn’t there supposed to be a shortage of rentals in the area that are justifying recent price increases?

OTOH, Domaine and Unico can do “group buys” on sharps disposal containers to reduce homeowner dues and rent simultaneously.

I live nearby, loved the two IEDs in the homeless encampment last Sunday. Nothing says it’s time to get up like a building-rattling propane explosion.

  • Chris, I agree, as an investor I’d want to go Unico, but I’d also question whether there is too much inventory in that area. However, the Unico inventory is quite different.
