Edward Krigsman at ek gave me the heads up about a $12 million dollar penthouse not on the MLS, Market Place Tower Penthouse.

Looking down at the unit:

While I hope to tour it soon I have spoken to someone who has. They said it’s amazing but that it is going to be a very particular buyer who buys the place; apparently it is very modern. But at $12 million dollars you will need a buyer with at least A LOT of money.

So how many units sell in this price range? Through the MLS only one has sold for $5 million plus since January 1st of 2007. That was a unit at Hotel 1000/Madison Tower and sold for $9 million.
