17 Cap Hill Condos Being Auctioned

17 units at 1707 Bolyston are being auctioned off starting at $95,000 (via Ben).

Yikes.

In other news about entire buildings failing, Redfin is adding multi-family inventory soon and while testing the new data out I noticed that Impluvium Condominiums at 1122 Broadway E is being offered as a whole package for only $3.3 million.

    They say “Impulvium.” I say “Effluvium.”

    Look at this politically correct little feature list:

    ===
    Superior construction quality in this brand new, Green built, 5 unit building. Steel & concrete|50yr metal roof|Elevator|Gas radiant heated bamboo floors|Gas fireplaces|7 garage parking spaces|Storage|Plaster walls & ceilings|ERV systems|Hand-cut brick exterior|R-50 insullation|Solar panels|Rain water harvesting|Electric car charger|Bosch energy star stainless appliances|Granite|Will be submitted for LEED Gold status|3 full floor flats (1600-1800sq.ft.) + 2 studio units|Huge outdoor spaces.
    ====

    Beyond, way way beyond, marble countertops and big shiny refrigerators.

    The complete Greeny checklist. You know, it just may be that everybody around that has 600-750K for a green cream dream already has one.

    Overblown, overbuilt, overprecious, and still just a bunch of village huts with a lot of brick and a green hype.

    Rain water collection barrels my wild Irish ass!

    This is a gobbler.

    I toured Impluvium at an open house a while back, and the construction quality is not very good. I saw a lot of fit and finish problems in that building. I came out of it thinking “great idea, bad execution.”

  • blah

    What do you mean ONLY 3.3Mil.

    That’s over 600k per unit. Sounds like still a rip off to me.
