$17 an hour for a job that requires no skill or knowledge is incredible.

I wouldn’t feel to sorry for him, he is making $17+ /hr

Given it's about 1/4 of what he'd need to earn to afford one of the condos he's advertising, it is pretty sad. In 2003 he'd be able to put down his sign at night IN one of those condos.

Sign guy #1 (pictured) is at Pike & Belmont, right outside the closed ReMax "C.H. Condos" office that moved a half block up the hill to the new Montage Condominiums. (Remember them?)

Sign guy #2 is at Broadway and Pine and was having a great time today spinning his arrow around, playing it like a guitar, and dancing to the entertainment of drivers passing by. He's probably making more money on tips and salary than the Realtors at the Seventeen07 sales office are on commissions!

At least the guy is working instead of draining the system, I'll give him credit.

I'm with Dan. That job would suck even at $17/hr.

He should at least put on a clown suit or something so nobody recognizes him.

Just received an email for a 15k buyer bonus at the Parc... Interesting times ahead for the Seattle market.

I feel so bad for that kid. Could you imagine spinning a carboard arrow all day long?

We will see more and more of these, a al Los Angeles.

    "luxury" LMAO

I walked by there last weekend while searching for a wayward Zipcar. It's amazing to see all the pretentious signage and questionable marketing-speak like "From the $349,950s" replaced with high-contrast auction signs. You planning to attend?
