Sneaky Leona Advertising

Leona sent out this ad boasting a huge price reduction:

495010657 3p26c M Sneaky Leona Advertising

However when you look closer at the listing:

495010663 c7vu5 M Sneaky Leona Advertising

You see that it’s actually been priced at $300k before and that the $429k price is from back in June of ’08!

Thanks to Adam for the tip!

I also work in advertising, and have developed the following slogan for the folks who put this ad together.
“If it's not borderline slimy, it's not Williams Marketing.”

I am confused at what is “Sneaky” about this. It was priced at $425,000 and now it is priced at $300,000. I looked on the MLS and it actually went pending on March 11th but then came back on the market on the 13th. Would you have rather they said, “Was $425,000 in June and now is $300,000″? They had just done a $50,000 price reduction on March 3rd but if I was a potential buyer it would be worth knowing that it had been previously priced at $425,000.

I'm with Steve. I was on the “sneaky” side myself until I realized it's been a year that in fact it was priced at $429k. I also think they're going to sell quickly. We're making an offer today at Leona, and it appears that 3 of them have gone pending recently. April is here running comps for her buyer and I'm typing her comments as she speaks (she doesn't know–trying to get all the credit myself). Anyhow, the building itself is positively gorgeous. It always catches my eye on my home everyday. I like to say that it looks…Pimpin
