1 Hotel + Residences Going Parking Lot

June 1st, 2009 · View Comments · By Matt

Word on the street is that the 1 Hotel + Residences hole in the ground at 2nd and Pine is going to be filled in and turned into a parking lot.

I stopped by after work and there is definitely still a big hole. It’ll take some work to fill it in.

Sweet, I'm sure it'll be totally awesome compared to the parking lot that used to be there!

How ridiculous is that…..? But I guess its better than a hole in the ground….Until of course in 2 years they dig it out again to start a project in the next cycle. Its still an excellent location.

Maybe they should think of how to reduce the number of cars that pollute anyway instead of building another parking lot.

You're not talking about a subterranean parking facility? When I fist visited car rental Raleigh I was surprised to see all their cars in an underground garrage. I eventually got used to it.
