Firehouse #2

I’ve always had a soft spot for the Firehouse at 1406 Harvard Ave just down the street from me. Unit #2 just came on the market.

It’s listed at $449k. They bought it for $509k back in March of 2006 and unfortunately paid a large premium since the sale before that was for $465k in February 2005.

About Matt Goyer

I love condos, lofts, floating homes, new construction and mid-century moderns so much so that since starting this blog in 2006 I've written over 2,000 blog posts about them!

For years I resisted becoming a real estate agent preferring to be a marketing executive at Redfin but after leaving Redfin (after seven years!) I caved in the spring of 2014 and became a broker. So if you need help finding that "Urbnlivn-style" place or selling your home email me at matt@urbnlivn.com, I'd be happy to help you.

Prior to Urbnlivn and Redfin, I worked at Microsoft after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics with a major in computer science.

Looks nice, but you know that when it comes to converted firehouses, my heart will always belong to http://www.firehouse44.com/ .

Too much wood – the interior looks like a sauna. And would it kill them to list a square footage?

btw, that Unhappy Hipsters site is hi-larious!

cheers and keep up the good work!

From an old listing it looks like it is 1000 square feet.

Almost bought there when they were first selling, they had been apartments. Somebody spent a lot of money fixing that unit up, cause they sure didn't look that nice when they were apartments. In fact it was the cost (and time) of fixing the units up which stopped me from buying – my mistake.
