On June 20th I’ll be riding in the LIVESTRONG Challenge – Seattle. The LIVESTRONG Challenge isn’t just a fun long bike ride (we’ll do the 100 mile edition) organized by cycling superstar Lance Armstrong. It’s also a fundraiser for his foundation, LIVESTRONG, to raise money and awareness to fight cancer, a disease that has unfortunately touched too many us, our families and friends. Over the last 13 years LIVESTRONG has raised over $60 million dollars.
Last year I rode in the Challenge for first time and had a great time but disappointingly didn’t raise any outside money. This year, I’d like to change that and for the next 20 days I’ll be including a link on every post asking for your help in supporting LIVESTRONG.
If you’ve at all enjoyed reading Urbnlivn over the years you’ll know that this blog is a labor of love and I rarely ask for your support (but a big thanks to all the advertisers who have supported us!). Matt, Thanks for your efforts regarding cancer awareness. Too many people have had this battle and every time someone like yourself sets aside time and energy to raise funds and promote awareness it is that much closer to being conquered. I sent you a challenge donation; 50% of your goal hoping that you will blast way past it. Go Team!

Wow! Thanks for such a generous donation, I really appreciate it. Since we have blasted past our goal I moved the goal posts from $1,000 to $2,500. Hopefully we can raise a bunch more money before the week is out.
