Interesting Sales This Week

There were 36 condo and townhouse sales in Seattle last week according to Redfin. Here are a few of them:

This three-bedroom townhouse in West Seattle was one of the lowest prices per square foot at a very respectable $218. It sold for even less 9 months ago – $215. Looks like it was built in Febrary 2009.

Would you pay $2.2 million for this kitchen? Someone did. This unit gets the prize for highest price per square foot this week ($521) – an impressive feat given that it’s 4,225 square feet. It’s got five bedrooms, a wraparound terrace and a private elevator.

Canal Station in Ballard sold a studio unit last week for $189,950. Not a bad price for a fourth-floor unit in new construction. Canal Station came on the market a while ago (early 2009?). I’m curious when we will see some resales and how they will be priced.

This Capitol Hill townhouse was barely on the market for a month before being snapped up for more than $20K below list price($607K down from $629K). Someone was eager to sell! That’s a very nice neighborhood. In fact, I may have spent $607K on parking meters there if you added it all up…

Did you know that Seattle has a “15 (not busy) Ave NE”? You clearly haven’t met this agent. Apparently, the listing worked as the unit sold last week for $346,000 after being listed for $340,000. On a completely unrelated note, I think this may be the ugliest bathroom we’ve ever featured here on Urban Living. Maybe we should start a series of blog posts about listings with ridiculously ugly bathrooms… No, no, that would be cruel.
