About Matt

Matt , Urbnlivn's publisher, has a love for lofts with industrial features and new construction condos that is only eclipsed by his passion for outdoor sports and urban living. Phrases such as “polished concrete” and “exposed brick” are music to his ears. You can also find Matt on Twitter or skiing.

Thanks for catching that listing — I grew up in Madrona (mom’s house is on 36th and my dad’s was on 38th after they got divorced), so I went by that house a lot and always wondered what it looked like inside. From the outside, only a flat roofed garage is visible with a big hedge. It’s very unimpressive as you drive down Cherry St. You can see it on Google Street View. It has a white van in the driveway.

It’s too bad they didn’t put a sod roof on the garage so it looked better from Cherry St. The only NW architects putting sod roofs on their houses in the 70s (like Roland Terry) used lots of wood instead of white and stainless steel.

Totally unrelated topic but does anyone know where I can get plain rugs like the ones in the living room in these pictures? :-)

@Sam – if my squinting eyes are seeing correctly, I think they are FLOR. I’d even venture to wager they are specifically these: http://www.flor.com/fez-vanilla.html
