Mad Homes Before New Apartments

The Mad Homes art exhibit in four pre-salvage homes on Capitol Hill has been profiled in CHS Blog and the Stranger, and the most extensive round of photos I’ve seen so far is on Apartment Therapy. So if you somehow aren’t planning to catch the exhibit in person before Aug 7 (which would be a mistake) then you can get a pretty good eye-full online. Just saying.

Exhibit Location: 711 Bellevue Avenue East, Seattle, WA 98102
Date: July 16 – August 7, 2011
Hours: Open 12 – 7 P.M. Daily

As a reminder, parking is limited in the area and you are encouraged to walk, bike, or bus in to the site.

When the homes are gone, Point 32 (of Art Stable fame) plans to add apartments to the site, and redevelop the existing BelRoy Court apartments. Past design reviews (PDF) indicate that 58 units will be built in two additional structures, and the 51 existing units of BelRoy Court will be preserved and restored. Parking for 72 vehicles will be provided below grade.
