December is already starting to feel like a short month with all the merriment packed into the days that stretch from Thanksgiving to the New Year. This weekend alone offers two home tours (that I know of so far):
Mount Baker Home Tour
A fundraiser for Mount Baker Community Center, there are six homes being showcased in this home tour on Dec 3 (10AM-4PM). From the remodeled mid-century modern by Milton Stricker that the Seattle Times profiled to Tudor, Craftsman, and Modern style homes, it sounds like there’s a full range to see on the tour that begins and ends at a holiday craft fair hosted at the community center.
Tickets are $25 (or $20 for 65 years and older) and available for purchase at brownpapertickets.com.
Madrona Home Tour
This tour isn’t so much a fundraiser as a (free) open house showcase of homes for sale in Madrona. It features mostly Craftsman style homes but there is one modern, studs-out remodel that we noted recently on Urbnlivn in the mix. The homes are available to view on the same day (Dec 3, 1-3PM) as the Very Merry in Madrona event so you can experience the neighborhood scene too.
