Lyrical Restraint on Interlaken

I’m still puzzling over what “lyrical restraint” really means in the marketing remarks for 2609 E Interlaken Blvd, regardless, the place is awesome and doesn’t suffer the Bellevue problem of the place we posted about yesterday.

At $1.85m you get 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms in 4,450 square foot on an unknown lot size. The place was built in 2009. Unfortunately Redfin is mapping it wrong. My only complaint is that there appears to be way too much marble in the master bath.

It is open this Sunday from 1 to 4pm if you want to check it out. Maybe we’ll see you there :).

About Matt Goyer

I love condos, lofts, floating homes, new construction and mid-century moderns so much so that since starting this blog in 2006 I've written over 2,000 blog posts about them!

For years I resisted becoming a real estate agent preferring to be a marketing executive at Redfin but after leaving Redfin (after seven years!) I caved in the spring of 2014 and became a broker. So if you need help finding that "Urbnlivn-style" place or selling your home email me at, I'd be happy to help you.

Prior to Urbnlivn and Redfin, I worked at Microsoft after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics with a major in computer science.

According to King County the address is 2606 E. Garfield St.  Maybe Interlaken sounds more expensive?

And I’m a fan of the marble bathroom :)

Thanks, I’ve re-mapped it on Redfin to that address. Seems to look correct from the Google Maps overhead view. Looks like it has an uncool garage though!

It’s a street-to-street lot. The original “Carriage house” fronts Garfield, hence the 2606 Address. But the front door of the house is on the Interlaken side, which is how you would have guests approach. The marble bath is spectacular in person.  Come see me on Sunday and check it out for yourself! Perhaps you’ll even figure out what “lyrical restraint” means

Actually, the garage is totally NOT uncool.  It is among the coolest I have ever seen-especially with the carriage house above it.  When you see it in person, the original restored architecture balances perfectly against the mod glass house.  This house is brilliant every inch.  You should really try to see it in person.  A very rare commodity!
