A reader sent in a link to the house they’re selling in Indianola and I just loved the blend of new and rustic so while it isn’t exactly Urban Livinging we thought it was something you might like. From the seller:

We bought our house as a getaway from San Francisco 2 years ago and wanted to pump modern into an original fishing cottage. We feel we accomplished this. We have made huge upgrades and our moving to our dream farmhouse on Bainbridge Island.

[In terms of getting there] I like the ferry from Edmonds to Kingston, then it’s a 10 minute drive. There is a great farm to table movement here, pop up supper clubs and a fantastic tiny, privately owned movie theater in Kingston. This is an ideal retreat for City mice and a great place for kids. It’s kind of like what the world was like when I was a kid (in the 70’s) safe, secure and lots of friends to play with.

If this is the dream getaway I’d love to see the dream farmhouse!
