A new 7-story apartment building just wrapped up construction in Lower Queen Anne. The Elliott Bayview Apartments is open for tours and available for move-in starting October 1st. Yesterday, we went to see for ourselves. Here’s a video recap…
Located near 1st Ave North & John St, the Elliott Bayview joins a slew of newer apartments in the neighborhood such as the Bernard and the Axis. Unlike those more modern-looking buildings, the Elliott Bayview exudes a historic charm with its red-brick exterior and round arches.
There are 41 units in the brand new building, with a variety of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans. Residents can also choose between two quality levels: a “standard finish” and a “premium finish”. The former comes with what appears to be a plain laminate countertop and black appliances. The latter includes granite (looks more like quartz) countertops, stainless steel appliances, higher-quality cabinetry and thicker carpet.
- Rounded arches adorn the facade
- View of Key Arena from 6th floor unit
- Solar panels on the roof
- Appliances in “standard finish” units
- Carpet in bedroom & living room
- Countertop in “premium finish” units
- Kitchen with “premium finish”
- Elliott Bay from roof-top deck
- Elliott Bayview Apartments at 151 John St.
The upper floors have the nicer finishes and the better views, especially the corner unit that faces Elliott Bay. Depending on which one you choose, here’s what you will pay…
Studios: 558-638 sq ft ; – $1445 – $1775
1 Bed /1 Bath: 591-912 sq ft – $1495 – $2595
2 Bed/ 1 Bath: 944-1186 sq ft – $2425 – $2895
The price points seem a bit high to me for the size and finishes, but you’re just steps from Seattle Center, and a few blocks from the great dining and entertainment options of Lower Queen Anne. It’s also easy to zip down to Belltown, Downtown, and South Lake Union.
All units are equipped with washer/dryer, dishwasher, and a disposal, and most units offer air-conditioning. Secure underground parking, personal storage units, and bike storage are also available.
There are a few other unique features such as large solar panels on the roof to serve some of the building’s electricity needs, a water retention pound to recycle the rain, and a pet relief area in the garage.
