Looking at the photos of 3033 26th Ave W it is hard to believe that it is a remodeled home built in 1959. The place is absolutely stunning. Also not cheap at $1.675m for a 4 beds, 4.75 bath home. Though it is a sizable 4,700 square feet. After further digging it looks like they must have tore down the house that was there before and perhaps just reused the foundation. I suspect someone bought the original home for $733k back in 2008, did some work on it and then tried to sell it for as much as $2.4m in 2009 as pre-sale new construction. It eventually sold for $765k in 2011, presumably partially started and then the current owners finished the project.
