The minute I walked into the west-facing penthouse unit at the Volta Apartments, I wanted to move in. There are the high ceilings, the wall of windows framing unobstructed views of Puget Sound, the Miele appliances, and a private deck. I would never leave home. But.

But, the unit features just one bedroom in 1282 sq.ft. and they’re asking for $6,495 a month in rent. That’s more than $5 per sq. ft.

The steep price tag snapped me out of my Urbnlivn day dream. That said, the unit is still pretty sweet. So even though we reviewed the new Volta Apartments in Belltown last week, we thought we would feature some penthouse porn. The first 10 photos are from the west-facing penthouse unit. The last two are from the northeast-facing unit that is smaller and have views out toward the Space Needle.
