Penthouse Loft in South Lake Union

Amazonians, here’s your chance for a fat penthouse blocks from your office. 401 9th Ave N – Unit 611 is in Veer Lofts at 9th and Harrison.

18′ ceilings, 1,354 square feet, 2 parking spots, nicely sized patio.

Downsides: no gas cooking and no A/C.

Listed at $885,000 they originally bought in new in 2008 for $775k after Vulcan tried to sell it new for $925k back in March of 2007. They previously had it on the market for 2010 for $650k. They’ll certainly be glad they waited until the market came back.

About Matt Goyer

I love condos, lofts, floating homes, new construction and mid-century moderns so much so that since starting this blog in 2006 I've written over 2,000 blog posts about them!

For years I resisted becoming a real estate agent preferring to be a marketing executive at Redfin but after leaving Redfin (after seven years!) I caved in the spring of 2014 and became a broker. So if you need help finding that "Urbnlivn-style" place or selling your home email me at matt@urbnlivn.com, I'd be happy to help you.

Prior to Urbnlivn and Redfin, I worked at Microsoft after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics with a major in computer science.

I love picture 21 that shows the skyline with all of the construction cranes.

Nice loft. The deck space looks great. I’m sure you could do something about the lack of A/C. It does says forced air heat but it seems to mean wall units, addition of a heat pump might be called for.

Thanks Matt! It’s a great place! We are keeping it real with the cranes in the sky:)
