Madrona Mid-Century Before and After

Remember all of those short sales that depressed prices a few years ago? Remember all those poor suckers who endured months of waiting for bank approval with no guarantee of actually getting a house?

The buyers, now sellers, of this remodeled mid-century were those suckers, but look who’s laughing now. They bought this fixer in Madison Valley / Madrona in 2011 for $295K and obviously had a vision because…well…these are the previous listing photos:

But after a few years of remodeling (and probably no small chunk of change invested), they made it look like a true MCM once again. Here are a few of the current listing photos:

Where in the city can you find a big two-car garage like this? Lots of room for all my bikes and skis.

It’s listed now for $479,000 with 500+ views on after less than 24 hours on the market. Looks like this one might be worth seeing this weekend. Open houses are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday 2-4pm.

Disclaimer: I work at Redfin, the listing brokerage.
