Dwell NW Modern in Columbia City

I really like this Columbia City home at 5031 43rd Ave S just built by Dwell NW.

I like that it has a garage (though don’t love that it is standalone), has a nice big deck, has exposed beams and uses wood all over the place. Plus it is 5-Star Built Green!

$775,000 for 3 beds, 2.5 baths, 2,400 square feet.

Update: I didn’t realize it at the time of posting, but they built a second house at 5033 43rd Ave. 3 beds, 2.5 baths, 2,750 square feet, $789k.

I wish I could say that working with and buying from Dwell is a dream come true, but, frankly, it is quite the opposite. I’ve never had a worse real estate experience, and I’ve bought several new homes from builders.

They treat their buyers appallingly. Since we will probably end up in court, I will email once everything is resolved. I think shiny-eyed buyers will very quickly get a sense of the personalities they are dealing with and have to choose if it’s worth it.
