Newer West Seattle Modern

A newer modern West Seattle home at 1933 48th Ave SW just hit the market.

Listed at $1,495,950 it is selling for less than what they paid for it new in 2007 which was $1,525,000. In hindsight was a terrible year to buy a home.

3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3,460 square feet.

The skylight in the bathroom looks fun. Though when do you ever take a bath? And during the day?

Check it out this Sunday from 1 to 4pm.

About Matt Goyer

I love condos, lofts, floating homes, new construction and mid-century moderns so much so that since starting this blog in 2006 I've written over 2,000 blog posts about them!

For years I resisted becoming a real estate agent preferring to be a marketing executive at Redfin but after leaving Redfin (after seven years!) I caved in the spring of 2014 and became a broker. So if you need help finding that "Urbnlivn-style" place or selling your home email me at, I'd be happy to help you.

Prior to Urbnlivn and Redfin, I worked at Microsoft after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics with a major in computer science.

You can also find me on Twitter, @MattGoyer, or LinkedIn.

The newly constructed house at 5016 SW Admiral Wy, which you blogged about, sold for $284 sq/ft. What makes this one worth $432 sq/ft, the daylight basement?

Anything on Admiral Way is going to take a price hit, it’s one of the main arterials in West Seattle. This house is in West Seattle’s priciest neighborhood, the Northwest side of Admiral.
