Heads up! The Queen Anne Historical Society is putting on a Modern Queen Anne architectural tour:

On June 14, from 2 to about 6, the society will offer Modern Queen Anne, a new tour that focuses on two mid-century structures with unrivaled views, Canlis and the Swedish Club, while stopping by five recently completed homes to learn from the architects who designed them about program goals and the place of their work in the contemporary idiom. The automobile tour starts at 2 at Canlis. The bike version begins at 1:30 at the Swedish Club.

You will learn about the roots of mid-century modern architecture at Canlis and the Swedish Club while meeting five architects who have added a contemporary touch to Queen Anne. The architects will discuss their works from the sidewalks. Interiors are not on the tour.

Join the tour by sending an rsvp to [email protected] or purchase tickets now at BrownPaperTickets. Members $15; non-members $20.

We love that they’re doing a bike version!

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
