UPDATED: Note that this post incorrectly identified the location of this property as Greenlake. It is, in fact, in Wallingford.
Built in 2009, I appreciate that this 3 bd, 2.5 ba, 4-Star Built Green Home at 4519 4th Ave NE is still very new but has a different style than so many of the townhouses popping up today. I do, however, wonder if it’s slightly overpriced at $520,000 for 1,280 sq ft. I really like the industrial modern look of dark stained floors, open beam ceilings, and dark window frames, but the main living space seems fairly cramped. The kitchen also feels small yet appears to have a functional flow with the gas oven/stove in the island. There are two bedroom suites on the second floor, each with vaulted ceilings. The third bedroom is on the main floor, so it could serve as a nice office or family room instead. What this townhouse lacks in a rooftop deck it makes up for in a large, fully-fenced backyard. Plenty of room for gardening, or just lounging in the sun. Of course, it’s also close to Greenlake, and within walking distance of the many restaurants and bars on 45th. Open House this Wednesday, August 6th from 11:30 am to 1 pm.
