The boutique building, The Opal, is home to this dramatic 2 story condo.  With 20 foot ceilings, this 874 square foot, 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom condo lists for $585,000.  It’s at 1605 E Pike St, [Update: Unit 201] which is really Cherry Hill (according to Redfin & wikipedia).  Everything that south Capitol Hill offers is a short walk away.  It has a small balcony, gas fireplace and range/oven.  Kitchen space looks tight, but has the usual granite slab counters and stainless steel appliances.  Bedroom area is not huge, but it makes up for that with a walk-in closet.  Garage parking for 2 cars and an additional parking space outside is a plus.  Seems to be renting for $3,000/month, $3.50/square foot.  Looks like just one window and the sliding door open; I’d rather have french doors.  If you can live with the price, you aren’t going to find many condos like this.
