Ray, the Only Apartment with an Orangery?
Does your apartment have an orangery? Ray, a new four-story, 119-unit apartment in Fremont on Stone Way has not just an indoor greenhouse that serves as an orangery but also a roof full of plants growing all sorts of things like raspberries and blueberries. It definitely feels a little Portlandia to have a room in your apartment dedicated to growing citrus fruit! But hey, in this all out amenities battle going on between developers would you expect anything less?
Other amenities include a bike workshop room (with a TV), pool table, small private dining room, “relax” room, rooftop deck with grills, loungers and outdoor TV.
Having started moving people in at the beginning of the month, Ray is already 8% occupied and 27% leased, ahead of their May 30th grand opening.
The “urban” one bedroom I looked at (urban is code for open) on the fourth floor, facing west, was 556 square feet and priced at $1670. Parking is an additional $125/month.
Ray was developed by Mack Urban (also did Velo in Fremont), designed by Baylis Architects and built by Exxel Pacific.
We checked out Ray the other day and took a bunch of pictures but opted to use Ray’s photos instead :).
