Enthralled by the story of buying a “recycled” mansion and moving it to your own dream lot?

(See: Mansion on the move arrives on Bainbridge Island. Sadly we weren’t at work (our offices are on the canal) when this home went buy!)

If you’re looking for a recycled home check out the Nickel Brothers website. They have homes for sale from $1 to $175k.

We’d love to hear of other places to buy “recycled” homes.

Little known fact about me: my childhood home, designed by my architect dad, was sold for literally pennies on the dollars after the government bought our home after a hundred year flood. Our home was bought by a couple who relocated it many miles away from the nearest river.

I own and manage Urban Living, a boutique Seattle and Bellevue real estate brokerage. I love lofts, floating homes, new construction, and mid-century moderns, but I will help you buy or sell just about anything!
