Modern Living Above Lake Union

Enjoy west-facing views over Lake Union from this modern, updated, 3,000 square foot home at 2226 Harvard Ave E.

Built in 1988, it has an open layout with 2-story floor-to-ceiling windows, reminiscent of moderns of that era, but thankfully it has been updated with a gourmet kitchen with LaCanche stove (spendy!), temp controlled wine cellar and flashy master bath.

Priced at $1.55m it is 3,060 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Attractive house and great views, but the I-5 is literally right across the street. Can anyone who’s seen this house report on how loud the traffic noise is? I’d personally also worry about air pollution.

  • I’ve been inside both this house and the neighboring one that is for sale. Inside the homes you don’t really notice the I-5 noise, they’re well insulated. For the deck that faces I-5 it is loud. You’d most likely want to use the back patio for entertaining. As for air pollution, I can’t comment on that. I lived a block off I-5 for years and am still going strong!
