New Listings Increasing, Inventory Still Low

With February behind us, how did we fare?

Looking at new listings, we added fewer new listings this February than in years past with only 835 new listings in Seattle. Considering that we’re adding 3,125 new residents a month, that just isn’t enough :(. Let’s hope this March is as good as years past! So far, it feels like we’ve had a solid week in terms of new listings.

Looking at inventory, it continues to drop :(. February marked the lowest number of homes for sale at the end of the month, ever with only 559 homes on the market in Seattle on the last day of the month.

In other words, it is a very tough time to buy a buyer but it is a good time to sell if you’re a seller!
