In pending news, I’m surprised to see the firehouse unit go pending in a week and a half.

I had seen pictures of the place on Flickr a while ago, but it wasn’t until last summer when we were invited over one afternoon, that it struck me just how awesome the space is. For starters the ceilings are high, 20 feet, its very spacious and it has great views. True loft living. Plus they have roof rights. And the loft has a long colored history that perhaps the seller will share with us in the comments.

So what’s the awesome space selling for? $719k. It’s 1,339 square feet.

I’m having a hard time locating a manager telephone or email for the building and thought that perhaps you could point me towards someone there. I have a newspaper box inside the building that I have to retrieve and have had little luck walking back and forth at their door.

When’s the open house!?

1521 is starting off their grand opening week by lighting up every unit:

the 38-story Fifteen Twenty-One Second Avenue, the newest addition to Seattle’s skyline, will be lit from top to bottom at approximately 5:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 26. The lighting will last for approximately one hour.

Hopefully it will be dark enough :P.

19th Ave Lofts

This is probably a very nice unit at 19th Avenue lofts but the photography doesn’t do it any favors. From unit 109, a 859 square foot unit with 2 parking spots priced at a reasonable $375,000:

Belltown Lofts

Unit #207 looks promising at $299,000 for 783 square feet. Certainly a low price per square foot.

Rumor has it a penthouse unit at Monique Lofts will be coming on the market soon.

#12 is back on the market. It’s been off and on for years now. For $1,199,000 you get 2,307 square feet, 1200 bottle wine cellar and a crazy shower.

It looks like a nice unit, I’m surprised it has had such a hard time selling.

Monique Lofts

#306 just hit the market. $295k for 488 square feet (which doesn’t include the 100 square foot sleeping loft.) I actually got an email from the agent/owner who is heading to grad school in San Francisco and wanted to spread the word. Look for an open house this weekend. Warning: lacks parking.

615 Pike Lofts

#402 looks like a very nice corner unit. $825k for 1,736 square feet featuring a 20′ wall of windows. Disclaimer: It’s listed by Redfin which I didn’t realize until looking further into this listing.

This isn’t any old Monique Loft with flexing plywood floors and a mini kitchen. This unit was purchased on 05/24/2006 for $501,500 and the owner has apparently put $300,000 worth of renovations into it. The marketing description lists many of the new features:

Spacious & inspiring living space w/ industrial & modern Italian design. Huge exposed old growth beams, steel, exposed concrete wall, floating VG fir stairs, industrial white epoxy floors, & chic Italian design w/ Poliform Varenna Kitchen, Antonio Lupi bath fixtures, Waterworks bathtub, custom steel stairs and so much more.

They had an unannounced open house today and I stopped in to see it and it is as nice as it sounds. Amazing kitchen, spacious, spare bedroom and den. Plus it looks like it has never been lived in post-model. The agent showing the place mentioned that HGTV and the Seattle glossy mags were wrangling for stories on the place. It really is that nice.

Will they clear $200,000 on this flip? It’s narrow, south facing, not much of a view, few windows but impeccably designed.
