SLU Discovery Center
I encourage everyone I talk to about buying condos to go down to the South Lake Union Discovery Center. It’s not just a cool building or a great way about finding out more about the Vulcan projects, because it’s a great way to see all of downtown Seattle and see how your favorite development will fit in. You can do this by checking out their monster model of Seattle. It’s so big I had to take a few photos to try and capture it all:
Yeah, you can spend hours surfing Google Earth but there’s something to be said about seeing something in 3D. And they don’t stop with the big model of Seattle. They also have a miniature model of one of the 2200 buildings (according to my designer friend this model is about $100,000):
And for those of you who would actually like to touch and feel the interiors, they have full size models as well:
So stop by sometime. I’ve also found that the staff are very low key and not anxious to sell you anything (because 2200 is sold out), but I’m sure that will change once they annouce what is happening with Enso, Veer, Martin and Rolling.
