By January 29, 2008

Those of you interested in the WonderBread vs Slender Skyscrapper debate in South Lake Union or SLUFans will be interested in this event that Carl forwarded to me:

OPEN HOUSE: Urban Form Alternatives
Tuesday, February 12, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
6:00 p.m. presentation
South Lake Union Armory (Naval Reserve Building at Lake Union Park)
860 Terry Ave N.

The Department of Planning and Development and the South Lake Union Friends and Neighbors Community Council invite you to a public workshop to review and comment on the results of a recent design charrette (January 18-19, 2008) conducted as part of the South Lake Union Urban Form Study currently underway.

You can find out more at: http://www.seattle.gov/DPD/Planning/South_Lake_Union/Overview.

Possibly related is this blog post by Smarter Neighbors, Citywide upzone outside villages being rushed through by planning staff.

Bonus link: Real estate blogger fired and sued over blog post about condo development. Sadly none of the developments I complain about ever get upset with me.
