Where Will Sustainable Living Innovations Build?

By October 7, 2011

Well, it turns out the answer to that question is probably not 219 E Galer St in South Lake Union as we had previously hoped. The word on the street is the Design Review that was scheduled for Oct 5 was canceled per the client’s request.

The good news is that Sustainable Living Innovation (SLI) has their sights set on a University District location and a design review is on the books for Nov 5. According to permit #3012744, a 6-story, 29-unit building is planned for 4558 7th Ave NE with 12 underground parking spaces.

Details are still being worked out so there was very little that SLI could tell me except that they aim to build the apartment project next spring and:

The building would serve as a real life example of what SLI is, and hopes to attract students, staff and faculty at the University of Washington.

To get a feel for what a building by SLI might include check out Urbnlivn’s tour of the prototype.
